CAPTION2012 is go! We're back in the same friendly venue - East Oxford Community Centre - with this year's theme of SUMMER SPECIAL. Think bumper fun, think favourite characters together in mad one-off stories, think Marval swimsuit specials (or rather, don't!).
We've had to move the date again from July to the 18th and 19th of August, for which apologies are due: this is the last such change, we promise.
3/2/12 02:47 pm
To avoid a clash with the Manchester MCM Expo, Caption will now take place on the weekend of July 14th-15th. Hope you can make it!
1/31/12 11:08 am
Save the date: Caption 2012 will be from the 21st-22nd July, celebrating its 21st year. More info soon.
8/4/11 02:22 pm
Alex Fitch has let us know about this week's radio show::
On air:
Panel Borders: Comic Book Caption(s) Starting a month of shows about comic book shops, we have three interviews recorded at Oxford’s small press comics convention ‘Caption’. Alex Fitch talks to Doctor Who comic illustrator Al Davison, who runs a graphic novels and art supply shop in Coventry and to former Gay Comics writer Will Morgan, one of the proprietors of a comic book shop in Putney which specialises in classic British titles. Also, 2000AD artist P.J. Holden is interviewed by comics journalist Matt Badham, about the shops he frequented while growing up in Belfast.
5pm, Thursday 04/08/11, Resonance 104.4 FM (London) / streamed at www.resonancefm.com / podcast after broadcast at www.panelborders.wordpress.com

Here's the striking design for this years Caption t-shirt by tozocomic (David O'Connell).
To comply with our austerity theme we will shortly be asking for pre-orders or expressions of interest from those who would like a t-shirt, so that we only print as many as needed.
6/28/11 03:40 pm
Just around the corner from the Caption venue is local ice cream parlour George and Delia. The G&D parlours make their own ice cream and have been known to make flavours on the request of 30 or more people.
So, if Austerity Caption was an ice cream, what flavour would it be?
